Specialist Carbide Scrap Buyers — Delhi NCR
We are a specialist tungsten carbide and minor metals scrap buying business. Operating since 2018 — serving CNC workshops, tool manufacturers, and engineering companies across Northern India.
2018 Year established
6+ Years active
7+ Cities served
Built to solve a problem no one else was fixing
Carbide Scrap Buyers was founded in 2018 with a single clear purpose: to give engineering companies and CNC workshops the correct market price for their tungsten carbide scrap — not a fraction of it.
Before specialist buyers entered this market, the situation across Delhi NCR’s industrial clusters was the same everywhere. CNC shops would accumulate buckets of used inserts, worn end mills, and broken carbide rods. A general scrap dealer would collect it — pricing it the same as mild steel at ₹40–60 per kg. The shop owner had no reference point. The dealer had no idea what he was holding. Material worth ₹1,800–2,400 per kg was changing hands at ₹40–60.
“The carbide scrap market in India has no transparency. Most sellers have no idea what their material is worth. And most buyers have no idea what it actually is. That gap costs sellers lakhs of rupees every year — and we built this business to close it.”
What we built
We spent the first years building relationships with CNC workshops across Delhi NCR — learning the material, learning the grades, and building a pricing system tied to actual global tungsten market data rather than to guessed-at local rates, and updating our rates every morning.
Over six years, we expanded across Delhi NCR — Noida, Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad, Greater Noida — and added Jaipur with regular scheduled visits. We buy tungsten carbide scrap in all forms and grades: CNC inserts, carbide rods and blanks, end mills, carbide dies and punches, mining buttons, wear parts, and mixed lots. We also buy HSS scrap and other minor metals, including nickel alloys and cobalt alloys.
How we operate today
Every transaction follows the same process: the seller sends us a photo on WhatsApp, we identify the grade and confirm a price, we arrive at their location for free pickup, we weigh in front of them on calibrated digital scales, and we transfer payment immediately. Same-day payment on every single deal — a record we have maintained for six years without exception.
Our journey --------
How We Grew Across Northern India
- 2018Founded — Delhi NCR operations beginStarted buying tungsten carbide scrap from CNC workshops across Delhi NCR. Built the first rate system based on global APT market data rather than local guesses. The first year was entirely about learning — grades, market structure, pricing benchmarks, and building trust with sellers who had only ever dealt with general scrap dealers.
- 2019 – 2020Expanded across Noida and Greater NoidaEstablished regular pickup routes into Noida’s Sector 63/64/65 precision engineering cluster — one of NCR’s highest-density carbide scrap sources. Added Greater Noida’s Ecotech industrial zone. Formalised the same-day payment practice that became our standard across all transactions.
- 2021 – 2022Full Delhi NCR coverage — Delhi, Gurugram, FaridabadAdded regular coverage of Delhi’s industrial belts (Okhla, Mayapuri, Wazirpur), Gurugram’s IMT Manesar auto-parts cluster, and Faridabad’s Sector 24/25/28 belt. Expanded material scope to include HSS scrap, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys alongside the core carbide business.
- 2023Added Jaipur — first out-of-NCR expansionBegan scheduled visits to Jaipur’s Sitapura and Mansarovar industrial areas, responding to demand from Rajasthan’s growing CNC machining and stone-cutting tool manufacturing cluster. Jaipur sellers receive the same NCR rates — no out-of-NCR discount.
- 2024 – 2026Navigating the global tungsten supply crisisChina’s APT export restrictions from late 2024 created a global tungsten supply squeeze, pushing carbide scrap prices to multi-year highs. We responded by tightening our daily market monitoring — tracking Rotterdam CIF APT prices, SMM Chinese tungsten data, and India FOB benchmarks. Sellers in our network receive market-peak prices during one of the best periods in Indian carbide scrap history.
